John Perue
John was born and raised in Saratoga, Wyoming, having lived most of his life there. John is a self taught artist. He has worked with photography and graphic arts. He has also created many stained and etched glass windows and started working with clay a few years ago. John built his own potters wheel and has designed plaster molds which enable him to mass-produce sets of dinnerware. With exposure and availability to a kiln, he started fusing and slumping glass and making glass beads and fountains. John approaches art more from a structural or craftsman view rather than aesthetically. He reads and researches art techniques information then develops plans for experimentation.
He designs art work with available materials then recreates using materials that work better. He enjoys working with wood, creating frames, furniture and cabinets. John volunteers many hours working with others, sharing ideas, using the tools and material available, then creating the best product possible.
